ℹ️ Access to this dashboard section requires administrative permissions with "Manage Locations" privileges enabled.
Managing your catering pricelist is essential to keeping your offerings up-to-date and ensuring customers receive accurate information.
This document shares details on the catering specific settings for a Catering Pricelist, all standard settings will still need to be updated.
Getting Started
Step 1: Login to the Manager Dashboard
First, head to the manager dashboard and log in with your credentials. This is the control center where you can manage all aspects of your business settings.
Step 2: Select the Location You Want to Manage
If your store has multiple locations, select the location you want to manage from the menu in the top right corner of the dashboard.
Step 3: Navigate to Location Settings
Once you have selected the correct store select Location Settings. This is where you control details specific to each of your locations.
Step 4: Find the Catering Pricelist
In the left sidebar of the Location Settings, you will see an option labeled Catering Pricelist. Click on this to access your current catering options and pricing.
Note: If you don’t see a Catering Pricelist option in the sidebar, it means it might not be enabled for your location yet. You can request to have a catering pricelist added by emailing our support team at support@gethomesome.com.
Checkout Settings
Step 1: Open the Checkout Tab
Once you are in the Catering Pricelist section, click on the Checkout tab. This is where you will find the settings that allow you to adjust and customize your catering pricelist.
Step 2: Set Minimum Days Lead Time
- Enter the minimum number of days required between when an order is placed and when it can be fulfilled.
- This helps ensure you have enough time to prepare orders and provide a realistic timeline for your customers.
Step 3: Set Maximum Days Lead Time
- Enter the maximum number of days allowed between when an order is placed and when it can be fulfilled.
- This helps manage your inventory and ensures customers can plan their orders within an acceptable timeframe.
Step 4: Enable or Disable Future Orders Early Pre-Authorization
- Decide if you want to enable this setting:
-
Enable: This means pre-authorization is taken immediately and refreshed 5 days before fulfillment.
-
Disable: This means pre-authorization will only be taken 5 days before the fulfillment date.
Note: If you disable this and a customer doesn't have sufficient funds when the authorization is taken, you may need to contact the customer to update their payment information before you can fulfill their order. We recommend keeping this setting enabled.
-
Step 5: Set Blackout Dates
- Enter the specific dates or date ranges when you do not want to accept online orders.
- This is helpful for holidays, maintenance periods, or any other times when you cannot fulfill orders.
Step 6: Save Your Changes
- After making all necessary updates, make sure to Save your changes.
Processing Settings
Step 1: Mark Orders Processed Automatically After Print?
- This is a toggle that, when enabled, will automatically mark orders as "Processed" once they are printed.
- This setting is useful for stores that print orders and use these printouts to fulfill them, rather than manually processing each order through the picking app. By automatically marking orders as 'Processed' after printing, it reduces the need for additional manual actions and ensures a smoother workflow for teams relying on printed receipts.
Step 2: Automatically Schedule Deliveries?
- This is a toggle that enables the automatic assignment of delivery drivers with available capacity to orders.
- This setting is ideal for stores that print orders and need an efficient way to manage deliveries without manual steps. By turning this on, delivery drivers are automatically assigned to orders and will arrive based on their selected fulfillment time, helping you streamline the process and ensure that large catering orders get delivered on time without delays or mistakes.
Step 3: Save Your Changes
- After making all necessary updates, make sure to Save your changes.
Review Your Settings
After updating your catering pricelist settings, take a moment to review everything to ensure accuracy.
Note: All standard pricelist settings will still need to be updated separately, and remember that all settings must be updated individually for each location.
