For marketing various pricelists, products, and categories we know it's important for stores to be able to directly link your customer so they can select the location and proceed with ordering for that particular pricelist, product or category. That's why Homesome has released the Direct Pricelist Linking Feature!
Example:
Let's say you want to market a new Holiday Pre-Orders pricelist. Previously a customer would have to select their location & the pricelist themselves causing room for error if they select the wrong location or pricelist.
You are now able to create a direct link for emails or social media to share with customers so when they click on the link they simply select their location (if not previously selected) and are taken directly to that pricelist.
Creating a URL for an Individual Product:
- Navigate to the Manager Portal
- Select Manage Products
- Find & click on the item you want to market
- In the top left corner there is a copy icon, click this to create the product link
This link can now be pasted & used to send customers directly to the product!
Creating a URL for Pricelist, Products Page, Search Results & Category:
Breaking Down & Creating the URL:
-
storename.com/<route>
?pListName=<plist-name> -
storename.com/
- replace this with your store URL, be sure to include the backslash at the end of the URL
-
<route>
- Replace '<route>' with the sections in quotes + and change the underlined words to the sections/items you want to link
- Example sections:
- "products" = product page
- "shop/CategoryName" = specific cateogry (capitalize the first letter of each word and remove spaces)
- "search?item=itemName&" = specific product (replace the italicized & underlined section with the item)
- Example sections:
- Replace '<route>' with the sections in quotes + and change the underlined words to the sections/items you want to link
-
?pListName=
- no manipulation is required here
-
<plist-name>
- Replace '<plist-name>' with the Pricelist of the site you wish to link customers to & be sure to include brackets (less/greater than signs "<>") around it
- In the above example (section 1) we have two valid pListName's (pricelist names):
- 'Groceries'
- 'Express'
- Navigate to product manager, copy product from one pricelist, get pricelist name, repeats for all other pricelist
- Note: you must capitalize the first letter of every word
-
storename.com/
