The following is a step-by-step guide on how to create a Buy One Get One (BOGO) discount, where customers can purchase X quantity of an item and receive either a % or $ discount.
1. To get started, log in to your Manager Dashboard
2. Click on Manage Promotions

3. Ensure you are in the correct Price List
From the top right of the promotions manager select the Price List for this BOGO

4. To create a new promotion, click on "Add Promotion"

5. Name your promotion
The name entered here is not visible to customers and is just for you to easily reference the BOGO

6. Enter a name in the "Show Under Category" field (optional)
-
If you enter a category the item will be shown under the category that is entered as well as its previous category with the discount present in both.
-
If you don't enter a category the item will remain in its current category with the discount present.

7. Select a Start Date
This is the date the promotion will begin

8. Click End Date
This is the date the promotion will end

9. Click Create

10. Click on Add Items Group
You can create multiple promotion/discount types using "Item Groups". We will start with a BOGO discount by clicking "Add Items Group"

11. Name your first item group (not visible to customers)
In the new item group's name enter the title of the item group. For this example, we'll enter "BUY ONE GET ONE 50% OFF"

12. Enter Subcategory (visible to customers)
Click the "Show Under Subcategory" section and type a category for your promotion
-
If you do enter a subcategory the item will be shown under this subcategory and its previous subcategory with the discount present in both
-
If you don't enter a subcategory the item will remain in its current category with the discount present

13. Click on Promotion Type and choose Discount

14. Click on Discount Units and choose Dollar or Percent
For this example we will use "Percent"

15. Enter the discount value that will be applied to ALL products
For a BOGO 50% off deal enter "25" so that a 25% discount is applied to both items resulting in a 50% off discount for the order

16. Enter "2" for the Eligibility Quantity
Eligibility Quantity is the number of items that must be added to a customer's cart to receive the discount. For the BOGO example, 2 items are required to receive the discount so enter 2.

17. Toggle "Apply in Increments Only" to "Yes"
The "Apply in Increments Only" flag ensures that the Eligibility quantity must be met in increments in order to receive the discount. When enabled, the discount will only be applied to items once the Eligibility quantity has been met. For example, the customer must purchase 2 items in order to receive 25% off each item.
If you want the discount to apply to all items, the flag should be disabled.

18. Set Max Uses Per Item (optional) 0 = no limit
If you want to set a limit on the number of times an item can be sold at this discount, enter the Max Uses Per Item in this field

19. Set Max Uses Per Order (optional) 0 = no limit
If you want to set a limit on the number of times a customer can order this item at the discount enter the Max Uses Per Order in this field

20. Click on Create
